Art for a better tomorrow

I’ve recently been inspired by Japanese prints and the intricate details and minimalistic lines that are often created using woodblock printing techniques and opaque paints. Not having access to these mediums currently, I have attempted to use that style but in my own way, alternatively with more of a retro and colour influence. Especially in this current climate, I have attempted to portray the hope or potentially false reality of a better tomorrow, with the blue colour hues beyond an evidently distressed individual. A3 painting using gouache.
