Women Did It Better

Abigail Pinkney

This work presents the differences in leadership of some of the men and women who led their countries through the global pandemic of COVID-19. The top three portraits represent the world’s worst leaders, who through their poor leadership led their countries into a downwards spiral. The masks hanging off the painting and away from their mouths portrays this. As a result, these countries experienced some of the highest death rates in the world, represented through the black background. The bottom three portraits represent some of the most effective leaders to come through the COVID-19 pandemic. These women, through their planning and truthful speaking, rapidly and efficiently dealt with the situation, making their countries more successful. This being represented through the bright blue background.
