This piece explores the layers of artifice in the publications on Tik Tok. Animating a Tik Tok dance introduces another layer of artifice to the already replicated ‘learnt’ gestures copied over and over again. By animating a real video it eliminates the flirtatious mannerisms, instead having a more ’empty look’, exposing the stylised nature of the moves.
