Normality in a pandemic

The piece centres around my own experiences with mental health and using the pandemic as time to make positive changes to it. The text are the questions I ask myself throughout the process. The piece also questions what it is going to be like after the pandemic and if we will ever have that normal again. The paintings are me with close friends and family, almost bringing together the people we cannot be around during this time. The paintings are all based off first hand photos I have taken, or someone has taken of me in these real moments in time, where facial expressions are natural. It was important for me to bring that honesty to the paintings to compliment the honesty of me taking these questions out of my mind and into the work for everyone to see.
