This is an ongoing piece exploring human nature and our constant desire to compare ourselves with others in the way of character, personality and appearance and the affect this has on our mental health. These are provocative pieces presenting the body as a symbol of female uprising within the art world, as to intimidate the powers of the patriarchal gaze. Photographs used are my own as well as artist Carolee Schneeman’s self-portraits.
