Plastic Nature (2020)

This is a sculptural piece made from cardboard and textured with impasto gel and sawdust. The piece also includes disposed, single-use PPE in the wake of the COVID pandemic and is also a commentary on plastic pollution. When creating this piece, I was inspired by the amount of PPE I saw littered during the summer lockdown, and its adverse effect on natural habitat.
